1. What’s the moment you realized the North Shore felt like “home”?
I realized it while running errands in downtown Wilmette. I kept running into people I knew, chatting like we’d known each other for years. Then friends showed up for us during a stressful time (when we had an unexpected hospital stay), no questions asked. That’s when it felt like home.
2. What inspired the first Third Coast design you ever sketched?
I’ve loved the idea of Third Coast for years, and 2025 just finally felt like the year to bring it to life. The North Shore is known for being polished and preppy, but the reality is that it is also relaxed and down to earth. I wanted to capture that feeling for people. The playful script is my reminder that we do not have to take ourselves so seriously.
3. What’s your go-to beach-walk ritual?
My real ritual is packing the kids up for a beach dinner. Sometimes it is just us on a random Tuesday, and sometimes it turns into a full-on Friday happy hour with friends.
My dream ritual is dropping the kids at school, grabbing a coffee, and walking the beach before work like the thriving coastal woman I know I am on the inside.
4. If you weren’t running three businesses, what would your alternate dream job be?
I would run Airbnbs and host retreats. Give me a pretty house, a good theme, and a group of women who need a break, and I am happy. Maybe that is business four and five?
5. What’s the most “North Shore mom” thing you’ve caught yourself doing?
I was filming my daughter at cheer practice and suddenly realized I was on the sidelines doing the moves with her. Not on camera, thankfully, but in real life. I basically became the mom from Mean Girls without even trying.
6. What’s one thing people always get wrong about you at first glance?
People see the polished, hyper-organized version of me and assume I’m all business. Give it two minutes and they realize I’m powered by sarcasm, iced coffee, mom humor, and an almost concerning level of enthusiasm for the people I care about.
7. What product from Third Coast would you wear every single day if no one judged you?
Even if they judged me, I would still wear my navy Ouilmette hat every single day. It is my personality at this point.
8. What’s your family’s go-to way to spend a perfect North Shore weekend?
In the summer, our perfect North Shore weekend starts with a family walk for iced coffee, a stop at the farmers market, and a quick visit to a park. We usually pitstop at home and then head straight to the beach to meet friends. After a few hours on the sand, we love coming back to our house to grill, set up the bounce house for the kids, and hang with neighbors. It is the kind of day that reminds me just how charming this little community really is.
